Fantasy strategy RPG for mobile
Dragonheir: Silent Gods is a free strategy game for mobile devices from Nuverse Games. It's an open-world RPG featuring a high-fantasy setting. It's a hero collector title that lets players explore a vast land as they create dynamic adventures based on their actions and decisions.
Inspired by the classic Dungeons & Dragons games and similar to Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance, Dragonheir: Silent Gods combines open map exploration with tactical combat and impressive next-gen graphics for an immersive experience. Players will form a team from hundreds of heroes across various races to help them on their grand journey.
Old-school D&D vibes
Dragonheir: Silent Gods takes place in the high-fantasy world of Adenthia, and you're an adventurer who mysteriously lost your memories. Choose from three races and four classes to create your character, form a team from over 200 distinct heroes, and embark on a quest to regain what you've lost. Explore dungeons, discover hidden secrets, and help fight off the evil terrorizing the land.
This strategy game's gameplay utilizes semi-real-time combat, meaning you can plan your moves and position your units ahead of encounters. You can also utilize spells mid-fight and even focus your attacks on specific enemies. Outside of battle, explore the land and interact with various NPCs. Utilize a unique dice roll mechanic to dictate the outcome of certain actions and events.
Despite all the great novel things about it, the game does suffer from a few shortcomings. The first and probably the main thing that most players will notice is that the story is level-gated, which forces you to grind for XP a bit to level your character up to progress the narrative. The next is it requires powerful hardware specs in order to run properly.
Next-level mobile gaming
Put simply, Dragonheir: Silent Gods is a must-play for any fan of strategy and RPGs. It boasts impressive graphics, good storytelling, and a dynamic combat system that is fun to explore and experiment with. The inclusion of a dice roll mechanic is a nice homage to classic D&D. Aside from the concerns mentioned above, it provides a compelling experience worth having. Highly recommended.
